What is R�my Martin Centaure Extra (Fine Champagne Cognac)
R�my Martin is one of the historic Cognac houses, founded in 1724, and is known for specialising in �Fine Champagne� cognacs meaning their eaux-de-vie are drawn from the top two crus: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne (with at least 50% Grande Champagne). 
�Centaure Extra� (or simply �Centaure Extra Fine Champagne Cognac�) is one of their older / now-discontinued prestige bottlings. It was produced decades ago many surviving bottles are from the 1980s or earlier. 
As a Fine Champagne cognac from a major house with age and provenance, it tends to be viewed as collectible rather than a standard �drink-now� cognac.
